Bias Binding

Bias binding is perfect for any project where curved, raw cut, fabric edges need binding to stop them from fraying away. Not to be confused with seam binding which does a similar job but on straight edges only.

Available in two widths and a variety of colours. It is used to bind and neaten the raw, unfinished allowances of a curved seam (like an armhole) or curved fabric edge and it can be joined by hand or machine sewing.

Using a contrast or patterned bias can look extremely decorative and can give a basic garment a unique and designer finish!

We love bias binding here at the-stitchery, one of the first blogs we wrote was how to attach bias binding -this step by step tutorial shows hand and machine methods.
