last minute Christmas ideas?

it’s been a busy old month here at the-stitchery - what with Christmas crafting projects, ribbons galore for wrapping and perfect presents for knitters and sewists alike…

it’s not too late for a fab work box and knitting bag with selected styles at 25% off and special offers when you buy a matching set. There’s still lots of choice left at all difference sizes and price points. Why not add a few useful haberdashery bits and bobs for a extra surprise inside?

And now its turned colder, what about a cute knitted hotwater bottle or even a funky tea cosy?  The Linen Basket has several unique ‘crafty’ ideas if you’re stuck for inspiration.  From peg bags to door mats, chalk slates to lanterns we have something to suit everyone. Don’t forget Christmas cards, retro wrapping paper, tags and gorgeous tree decorations -we have the lot.

Next door, Riverside Art and Framing has even more gifts to offer with a new delivery yesterday from Fair Trade supplier Archipelago. We have beautiful hand-carved gifts galore ranging from seahorse magnets to a string of sardines. Produced in Bali from replaceable softwoods and lead free paint- these slightly whimsical objects make lovely enviromentally friendly gifts

So its all a bit beach-themed here, to sit very well alongside our charming Hannah Cole habour and estuary canvases and the atmospheric and evocative Sea and Sky abstracts by Liz Jameson. We have her framed prints starting at £95.00 and a new original on show. Liz’s new style of clean, white modern frame with non-reflective glass is now available to order when you purchase an unframed giclee print from £55

So why not pop into the Riverside on Cliffe Bridge for a coffee and cake, Christmas gifts and seasonal fare….
